What's Happening:

Attention-seeking behavior reflects a need for connection. Children seek attention in the most effective way they know, even if it's negative.
THIS

Use this when the child wants connection.
How to do it:
Offer brief attention

Why it works: Connection reduces escalation.

Option B: Trauma-Informed / Nervous System Support
Use this when attention-seeking is anxious.
How to do it:
Reassure availability
Provide predictability

What to say:
"I'm not going anywhere."
"You matter."

Why it works: Security reduces urgency.

Option C: Calm Boundary + Skill-Building
